Ha Ling Peak and Miner’s Peak

Short and super-popular. Steep going up with some scrambling at the top.

No photos from the initial ascent, which was on a well-marked trail through forest.

Shortly after clearing the treeline, it gets a lot rockier and steeper.

Miner’s Peak is right beside Ha Ling Peak.

It was windy and chilly at the top.

We headed back down a bit and walked over to Miner’s Peak.

It was much quieter there. For some reason, most people who trudged up Ha Ling didn’t hike the short distance over to the much more pleasant Miner’s Peak. It was warm and shielded from the wind in this little meadow so we relaxed here for a long time!

A short and enjoyable workout! Will try scrambling the three peaks near Miner’s Peak next time I hike this. And going on a weekday to avoid the crowds would be preferable.
