Mount Kidd Fire Lookout

Another solo hike for me and I honestly should have turned back after I spotted fresh grizzly droppings on the trail one kilometre into the hike. It was quiet - I only saw two other groups the entire hike, and it was pretty smoky. All great reasons to not go on a hike! Instead, I turned my audiobook on as loud as I could and had the opposite of a chill time in the outdoors for the next few hours.
I also had my first devastating camera setting incident this season. I accidentally set my ISO up to a very high number and forgot to turn it back down while I was on the summit, thereby blowing out most of my nice shots from up there. Unfortunately, I didn’t even learn a lesson after all that and made the same mistake a few hikes later!
This hike was super pretty with all the wildlflowers blooming and lush green grassy hills. It was also relentlessly steep for most of the hike. The Mount Kidd Fire Lookout is a short and sweet trip, albeit not the easiest hike due to the grading.

I have kept one photo from the high ISO incident as a reminder of my folly.
